Job Description
ICOS is seeking outstanding graduates to join their consulting and research team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidates should have a strong academic record, exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, and a drive to excel in a high-pressure, client-driven environment. The responsibilities of the researcher position include:
- Preparing proposals and aligning methodologies with research goals
- Conducting fieldwork and tests as required
- Analyzing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data using various tools
- Writing reports and presenting findings to management and stakeholders
Position: Junior and Senior Researchers/Consultants
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in fields such as research, economics, business administration, development studies, monitoring and evaluation, statistics, data science, business analytics, marketing, public health, or other research-related fields.
- Exceptional bachelor’s degree holders with a talent for research may also apply.
- For master’s degree holders, a CGPA of 3.6 or above (out of 4.0) at both graduate and undergraduate levels from a reputable and accredited university.
- For applicants with only a bachelor’s degree, a CGPA of 3.8 or above (or equivalent score) is required.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research expertise
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Fluency in English is mandatory
- Ability to work collaboratively within teams
- Strong statistical and mathematical aptitude
- Proficiency in statistical programs and advanced-level MS Office skills
- Ability to communicate complex analytics and results clearly, both written and verbally
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and analytical mindset
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Enjoys problem-solving and innovative thinking
Responsibilities
The selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Designing and writing research proposals using valid scientific techniques
- Consulting on proposal and study design, guiding project teams on the best approach and techniques to meet clients’ research objectives
- Developing experimental designs, study designs, and analytical methods
- Designing appropriate sampling techniques and sample sizes for different research types and objectives
- Developing research methodologies, data collection tools, and plans
- Contributing to field material preparation and training of field teams
- Collaborating with other researchers and consultants in planning, implementing, and evaluating surveys
- Specifying details of research projects, including sources of information, procedures, and instrument/material designs
- Documenting the study instrument development process, data collection methods, and decisions related to sample statistical weighting
- Monitoring and evaluating field research progress and performance
- Reviewing, classifying, and cleaning data for computer analysis
- Training field researchers on research protocols and tools
- Writing training manuals and protocols for field researchers
- Preparing data analysis plans
- Processing large amounts of data for statistical modeling and analysis
- Reporting results of statistical analyses through graphs, charts, and tables
- Interpreting and analyzing data using statistical and qualitative data analysis software
- Writing research reports and presenting findings to clients and stakeholders
- Responding to research questions, troubleshooting problems, and proposing and implementing changes
- Proposing techniques to improve research quality and team productivity
- Preparing data for processing by organizing, checking, adjusting, and weighting raw data
- Adapting statistical methods to solve specific research problems
- Evaluating sources of information and statistical methods used to obtain data to ensure validity, reliability, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy
- Providing strategic consulting on complex quantitative projects
- Guiding study design, including sample plans and questionnaires
- Supporting the design and execution of advanced analysis plans
- Staying up-to-date with the latest analytical techniques and sharing them with internal teams and clients
