Position 1: Junior Customer Accounts & Due Diligence Officer

The bank is looking for a Junior Customer Accounts & Due Diligence Officer with a BA in HRM, Management, Business Administration, or related fields. The candidate should have at least 1 year of relevant experience in banking operations. The essential functions include handling customer accounts and due diligence operations in accordance with NBE directives and Amhara Bank procedures, authorizing new customer accounts based on NBE directives after processing e-documents, managing termination reports and notifying NBE and branches of maloperations or delinquencies, ensuring that regions/branches follow the Bank’s Policy on Anti Money Laundry (AML) and CDD measures in line with the Financial Intelligence Offices’ directive, and providing verified information to external bodies such as Police, Court, NBE, National Intelligence Center, etc., related to customer account confirmation inquiries. The position is located at the Head Office.

Position 2: Administrative Assistant – I

The bank is seeking an Administrative Assistant – I with a BA/Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Management, or any other related field. The candidate must have at least 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the banking industry. The essential functions include receiving and distributing messages, creating and updating records periodically, monitoring office supplies and controlling shortages, solving office-related problems, responding to questions or issues, and performing office tasks such as filing, preparing documents and reports, arranging meetings, and ordering adequate supplies, liaising with internal and external customers, and providing real-time scheduling support by booking appointments and preventing conflicts. The position is located at the Northern Regional Office based in Bahir Dar.

Position 3: Junior Technology Developer

The bank is searching for a Junior Technology Developer with a BSc in Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Information Technology. The candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in technology development, preferably in the banking industry. The essential functions include designing, developing, customizing, configuring, and implementing software solutions, planning, designing, developing, testing, and implementing test plans and strategies for new software development, developing and maintaining software documents, including requirements and design specifications, documenting code and creating technical specifications and documentation, staying up-to-date on industry trends and technologies, recommending new technologies as needed, collaborating with other developers to ensure the quality of software, and working with the business analysis team to analyze technology requirements. The position is located at the Head Office.

Position 4: Junior Technical Project Officer

Amhara Bank is seeking a Junior Technical Project Officer with a BSc in Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Information Technology. The candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in technical project management, preferably in the banking industry. The essential functions include establishing ad hoc teams for each project, establishing a project working environment for ad hoc teams, conducting project meetings and communications, including taking minutes, ensuring all project documents are developed and centrally documented, handling budget-related activities for PMO, developing and compiling reports, and following-up and tracking project progress as per plan. The position is located at the Head Office.

Position 5: Learning & Development Officer

The bank is looking for a Learning & Development Officer with a BA in HRM, Management, Business Administration, or related fields. The candidate must have at least 3 years of relevant experience in the banking industry, including 1 year as a learning and development officer. The essential functions include mentoring and enabling staff below their grade to achieve effective performance, participating in developing, reviewing, and implementing policies and procedures, plans/budgets, and performance reports of the division, providing services as per the service level agreement, contributing to the bank’s profitability, engaging in teamwork, collaboration, and transparent work practices. The position is located at the Head Office.

Position 6: Messenger & Cleaner – I

The bank is seeking a Messenger & Cleaner – I with a complete 10th/12th grade education and at least 2 years of relevant experience. The candidate should be between the ages of 18-35. The essential functions include receiving and delivering documents, materials, and supplies from office to office within the company, securely delivering packages, documents, written and verbal messages, and other items to the intended location or recipient in a timely manner, and protecting the confidentiality of information and documents. The position is located at Zigem, Dilamo (Kedemit Lalibela), Simada.

Position 7: Senior Customer Service Officer – Cash

The bank is searching for a Senior Customer Service Officer – Cash with a BA in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, Banking & Insurance, Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or related fields. The candidate should have at least 3 years of relevant experience in banking operations as CSO, CSR, and CSE. The essential functions include performing KYC and customer due diligence upon opening accounts, receiving and delivering physical cash from and to customers, collecting/pay cash and debit/credit respective accounts, updating passbook, printing deal slip, or issuing customer advice, issuing and signing Payment Instruments, and performing other duties as required. The position is located at Zigem, Dilamo (Kedemit Lalibela), Simada, Woldia (IFB).

Position 8: Security Guard – I

The bank is seeking a Security Guard – I with a complete 10th/12th grade education and at least 2 years of relevant experience in Military/Police service. The candidate should be between the ages of 25-50. The essential functions include patrolling and securing the area, ensuring the protection of properties and facilities, protecting the company’s assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues, authorizing entrance of people and vehicles, reporting any suspicious behaviors and happenings, and performing other related duties as assigned. The position is located at Zigem, Dilamo (Kedemit Lalibela), Simada.

Position 9: Senior HR Officer

The bank is looking for a Senior HR Officer with a BA in HRM, Management, Business Administration, or related fields. The candidate must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the banking industry, including 2 years as an HR officer. The essential functions include planning, processing, and managing staff recruitment, selection, and onboarding activities in accordance with the bank’s HR procedures, interpreting and implementing human resource directives within terms of reference, ensuring that corporate human resource policies and practices comply with the laws and regulations of the land, advising and supporting managers on HR issues, managing employee relations, and handling grievances and disciplinary matters, among others. The position is located at Dessie District.

Position 10: Senior Business Project Officer

The bank is seeking a Senior Business Project Officer with a BA in project management, business administration, or related fields. The candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the banking industry, out of which a minimum of 2 years of experience in projects. The essential functions include coordinating project quality assurance activities, ensuring all project planning activities are handled properly, following up and managing project execution, testing, and closing activities, following up and measuring the performance of project officers, working with procurement to follow up on the procurement process and communicate any procurement challenges, and compiling project status reports from project ad hoc teams and reporting to business/technical project managers. The position is located at the Head Office.

Position 11: Senior Technical Project Officer

The bank is searching for a Senior Technical Project Officer with a BSc in Computer Science, Information Science, Computer & Software Engineering, or Information Technology. The candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the banking industry, out of which a minimum of 3 years’ experience in software development. The essential functions include establishing an ad hoc team for each project, establishing a project working environment for ad hoc teams, managing project meetings and communications, including taking minutes, managing project documents at a central repository, developing project management processes, dashboards, templates, and metrics, and implementing new project management tools and/or systems that increase the project office’s effectiveness. The position is located at the Head Office.

Position 12: Senior Project Business Analyst

The bank is looking for a Senior Project Business Analyst with a BA in Accounting & Finance, Banking & Finance, Management, Business Management, Economics, Marketing Management, or related fields. The candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, out of which a minimum of 3 years’ experience in projects. The essential functions include working with stakeholders to identify business needs and solutions, establishing business analysis ad hoc teams for specific business needs, analyzing business needs with ad hoc teams, preparing business case documents that include SWOT analysis, cost efficiency analysis, risk assessment, and other analyses, defining project objectives, scope, and deliverables, defining requirements and preparing bid documents (RFP) and project charter, assessing different approaches for required solutions and submitting proposals, and identifying all required changes with stakeholders for required solutions. The position is located at the Head Office.

Position 13: Manager, Customer Relationship

The bank is seeking a Manager, Customer Relationship with a BA in Business Management/Accounting/Economics/Business Administration/Finance and Economics/Marketing Management or any other related fields. The candidate should have at least 7 years of relevant banking experience, out of which 2 years in a senior position. The essential functions include building and maintaining profitable customer relationships by fostering credit marketing, ensuring loan quality, and properly attending to customer complaints at the district level, keeping customers updated on the latest products and services to increase revenue from various businesses within the district reach, attracting potential borrowers to establish long-lasting customer relationships and increase and diversify the customer base, building a trusting relationship with customers by maintaining a positive image and cross-selling the bank’s credit services, attracting and handling customers with guarantee requests, taking up the role of the Manager in their absence, actively participating in developing, reviewing, and implementing policies and procedures, plans, and budgets of the division, mentoring and enabling staff below their grade towards achieving effective performance, demonstrating the bank’s code of conduct, embodying the bank’s good culture and corporate image to the public, engaging in teamwork, collaboration, and transparent work practices. The position is located at Adama.

Position 14: Customer Service Executive – II

The bank is searching for a Customer Service Executive – II with a BA in Accounting & Finance, Banking & Finance, Management, Business Management, Economics, Marketing Management, or related fields. The candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in banking operations as CSO, CSR, CSE, or a related position. The essential functions include engaging and performing customer recruitment and account opening activities, initiating cash transfers from/to cash, receiving and delivering physical cash from and to Cashier, collecting/pay cash and debit/credit respective accounts, checking and balancing physical cash with the Cashier, retrieving customer signatures and pictures and verifying customers, and performing other duties as required. The position is located at Zigem, Dilamo (Kedemit Lalibela), Simada, Dessie (Bilal IFB), Wegdi, Bistima (IFB), Mekoy, Woldia (IFB).


Position 15: Senior Digital Banking Officer

The bank is seeking a Senior Digital Banking Officer with a BA in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Management, Economics, or any other related fields. The candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the banking industry, out of which 2 years as a digital banking officer. The essential functions include developing deployment plans for ATMs, POS, and other digital channel devices by identifying feasible locations, merchants, and operators, participating in developing initiatives on digital banking business requirements in collaboration with cross-functional units, closely following up and evaluating the performance of ATMs, POSs, and other digital channels deployed in various outlets and preparing redeployment proposals for those performing poorly, initiating, introducing, and redesigning user-tailored digital channel products and services that adhere to both dynamically changing customer preferences and the payment landscape, maintaining strategic relationships with merchants, agents, payment associations, and vendors to foster smooth operations and business growth of Digital-Banking Services. The position is located at the Head Office.

Position 16: Senior Ethics Officer

The bank is looking for a Senior Ethics Officer with a BA in Civic & Ethical Education, LLB, or related area of study. The candidate must have at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in law, audit, or related areas, and in business ethics and corporate compliance. The essential functions include leading and providing oversight of the bank’s ethics and integrity-related issues to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, policy, and ethical requirements impacting the bank, developing, revising as necessary, and monitoring the implementation of the bank’s ethics and integrity plan, consistent with Amhara Bank policy, providing oversight of the ethics risk assessment process, developing, revising as necessary, and monitoring the implementation of the code of ethics, providing oversight of ethics training and education, providing oversight of all Ethics and Integrity related investigations, working with an ad hoc committee as necessary. The position is located at the Head Office.

Position 17: Branch Manager Grade – I

The bank is seeking a Branch Manager Grade – I with a BA in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or any other related fields. The candidate should have at least 7 years of relevant experience in the banking industry, out of which 1 year as Assistant Branch Manager/CSM or Relationship Manager. The essential functions include leading in the development and revision of the branch office’s functional strategy aligned with the business-level strategy of the bank, supporting regular checks on service delivery at the branch through methods such as customer surveys at the branch to determine customers’ perception and experience of the bank’s service, planning and leading the resource mobilization activity of the branch by organizing and coordinating the branch workforce effectively, and aggressively engaging in marketing and promotional activities. The position is located at Kemissie, Amhara Saint, Dinsa, Zigem, Dilamo (Kedemit Lalibela), Simada, Woldia (IFB).
