Job Description

The Sales Executive will be responsible for managing the assigned route(s) and territory by monitoring the market evolution, establishing strong relationships with customers, tracking competitors’ sales activities, proposing and executing promotional activities. The role is a mid-level position that requires at least 2-5 years of experience.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain an updated list of all outlets and update relevant data regularly
  • Assign a unique BGI ID to each outlet
  • Visit a minimum of 25 preselected outlets per day as per the schedule approved and submitted by the Area Sales Manager
  • Visit every outlet in the assigned route once a month
  • Establish and maintain smooth relationships with customers
  • Check fridges for stock levels and ensure planograms are respected and take corrective action when required
  • Check positioning and functionality of company assets
  • Follow up on cleaning of draft machines, Co2 and product delivery
  • Negotiate priority for dangling visibility and PoS materials with outlets
  • Increase the number of PoS outlets in the area by prospecting actively
  • Conduct night visits at least three nights per week and three outlets per night
  • Collect information from consumers and communicate product benefits professionally
  • Organize influential groups or individuals to strengthen support in the market
  • Arrange factory visits for influential people or groups when necessary
  • Assist in the evaluation of executed promotion actions and produce outlet level reports
  • Distribute promotional material professionally and keep records
  • Collect adequate information on competitors’ activity and market trends
  • Register retail outlets serving competitor brands only and follow up for penetration
  • Identify and develop new market potentials such as large-scale projects, new settlements, new areas, new channels etc.
  • Communicate with different organizations’ labor unions and negotiate to have priority and influence preference in availing company products and services
  • Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Job Requirements

  • Driving License is mandatory
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic computer literacy in Word and Excel
  • Customer service oriented
  • Ability to work well under pressure

Education & Experience

  • Diploma/BA Degree in Marketing Management/Management/Business Administration/Business Management or related fields
  • For Degree holders, a minimum of two years sales experience preferably from the same industry
  • For Diploma holders, a minimum of four years sales experience preferably from the same industry

Additional Responsibilities

  • Physical Effort: Require physical skills to fulfil duties where there is a specific requirement for speed or accuracy
  • Mental Effort: Require frequent concentration to attract potential customers and create new markets
  • Finance Management: Required to utilize financial resources effectively
  • Asset Management: Required to hold & use office furniture, desktop & laptop computers, printers etc.
  • Working Condition: Frequent requirement to use road transportation, to work outdoors, to visit at nights.
