Position 1: Retail Centre Operations Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND CORE COMPETENCIES

  • At least 6 months working as Retail Experience Executive at the Safaricom Shop
  • Understanding of English and local language both written and spoken.
  • Ability to cope with pressure from customers while delivering quality service.
  • Ability to counsel/coach staff and analyze customers’ behavior on the floor and take necessary actions.
  • Ability to review customer trends to prioritize how service will be delivered to them based on demand and resources available.
  • Have Knowledge to Explain functionality and benefits of Safaricom Ethiopia products and services in simple terms that excite and engage the Customer
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Safaricom Ethiopia product and Services.

Position 2: HR Operations Specialist

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and Higher National Diploma in HRM
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience carrying out duties involving letter administration and filing
  • Strong administrative skills with a flair for technological enhancements
  • High multi-tasking, organizational, communication, and writing skills
  • Efficient skills in word processing, spread sheet applications, basic knowledge of internet/e-mail functions, use of Outlook and Outlook Express functions,
  • Ability to prioritize multiple demands, exercise tact and discretion and meet deadlines
  • Ability to sit for long periods at a desk utilizing a PC

Position 3: Employee and Labor Relations Manager

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and Higher National Diploma in HRM from recognized university with postgraduate qualification in Industrial Relations 
  • 8-10 years experience in Human Resource Management with at least 5 years experience  specifically in labor and employee relations management  
  • Specialist knowledge of labour legislation and practice

Position 4: Territory/ Corporate Account Manager

Job Qualifications:

  • Marketing, Sales, Business administration or Economics Degree, or relevant degree with over 4 years’ experience in sales, marketing, customer/account management.
  • Post graduate certification in Sales & Marketing, business administration will be an added advantage.
  • Exposure in Service and/or Customer management for major corporate clients, commercially savvy with a detailed understanding of the technologies the company is selling and issues that typically arise
  • Industry certifications would be an added advantage (ITIL Foundation, MCP/MCSE, CCNA etc.)
  • Understanding of English and local language both written and spoken.
  • Literacy in basic computer applications such as MS word, excel, outlook, etc.
  • Ability to cope with pressure from customers while delivering quality service.
  • Ability to accurately perform cash transactions.
  • Knowledge of Telecommunication products and services.
  • Good listening and critical problem-solving skills.
  • Well-developed presentation skills with attention to detail

Position 5: Program Manager, Core Networks

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in a telecommunications organization (in an OpCo or as a vendor to an OpCo) (Essential).
  • Relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent technical qualification (Essential)
  • Diploma / certificate in Project Management (Desirable)
  • In-depth technical knowledge of Core Network Technologies and the supporting infrastructure (Essential).
  • End to end technical knowledge of telecommunication networks especially in Transmission, RAN and IT technologies (Essential).
  • Knowledge of Telco over cloud (NFVi) using VMWare and/or Open Stack would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of deployment of cloud infrastructure, including hardware and virtualization layer would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of data center design to accommodate physical cloud and Telco Bare metal hardware would be an advantage.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and writing) (Essential)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced technology environment.
  • Proven track record in delivering projects from the requirements analysis phase through the implementation cycle and be able to provide performance measures of success
  • Ability to excel in a constantly evolving environment
  • Understanding of project dependencies and risk mitigation in multi-discipline projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • In-depth knowledge of 2G/3G/4G Core Network technologies including IMS/VoLTE.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in a telecommunications organization (in an OpCo or as a vendor to an OpCo) (Essential).
  • Relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent technical qualification (Essential)
  • Diploma / certificate in Project Management (Desirable)
  • In-depth technical knowledge of RAN Technologies and the supporting infrastructure (Essential).
  • End to end technical knowledge of telecommunication networks especially in Transmission and Core Network technologies (Essential).
  • Fluent in English (spoken and writing) (Essential)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced technology environment.
  • Proven track record in delivering projects from the requirements analysis phase through the implementation cycle and be able to provide performance measures of success

Position 8: International Roaming Manager

Job Requirements:

· First degree or Second Degree in Business, Finance or Technology fields

· +5 years Experience in Commercial  or Sales roles in FMCG, eCommerce, Financial Services or Telecom

·  Bonus speaking additional foreign languages besides English ( EG French, Somali, Arabic, etc…)

Position 9: MPESA TEAM LEADER

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a degree in a Business discipline / Social Sciences from a recognized university;
  • Must have 3+ years working experience in a Retail/Commercial/Customer service Environment
  • Must have 1+ years’ experience in people management in a commercial environment
  • Proficiency in both English and a local Ethiopian language (Amharic/Oromia/Tigrinya/ Somali/Afar) spoken and written
  • Be a team player and willing to collaborate with other teams to ensure delivery of superior Customer Experience
  • Experience in the role of back-office support or Team Leader within a Contact Centre environment will be an added advantage
