The present day Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) was established in 1907during the reign of emperor Menelik II. More than a century has been elapsed since agriculture was transformed in to an institution. During the last successive regimes, some measures have been taken to improve the Agricultural sector. Despite such measures, there have not been any improvements in the sector. As result, the past regimes did not able to eradicate poverty and guarantee food security. This happened mainly due to the absence of conductive policies and strategies. Above all, farmers were not free to use their lands for their own benefit.

1	Gender and Agricultural Extension Specialist	MSc/MA/MBA holder in Gender and Development, Gender and Agriculture, Agriculture/ Behavioral Science, Agriculture Extension and Rural Development, Agri-Business, Development Studies, or related fields of study with 7 and above years of relevant work experience	8 and above years of work experience in gender and agriculture, agricultural extension, and rural developmentPrior work experience in agricultural enterprise development, women’s economic empowerment, financial inclusion, and food security program is a plus.
2	Horticulture and Market System Specialist	MSc/MA/MBA holder in Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Marketing, Agri-Business and Value Chain Management, Development Studies, Livelihood Agricultural Economics, or Developmental Economics, Horticulture, or related fields of study with 8 and above years of relevant work experience.	8 and above years of work experience related to agriculture/ horticulture production, agri-business, agri marketing, gendered agricultural marketing/ value chain development, and livelihood diversification. In addition, hands-on experience in gender and gendered agriculture, horticulture production and marketing, women’s economic empowerment, financial inclusion, and food security program is a plus.
3	Gender Specialist	Master’s degree and above in Gender Studies, Agricultural Extensions, Rural Development, Cooperatives, Agricultural Economics, Agri-business and other related fields.	Master’s degree 8 years or PH.D degree 6 years of experience in the field Gender and Development, experience in gender, agriculture extension, horticulture production and marketing, women’s economic empowerment, financial inclusion, and food security program is a plus.
4	Senior MEL technical expert	Master’s degree and above in Development study, Economics, Agricultural Economics, M&E or other related fields.	At least 8 years of experience in the field of agribusiness and M&E, experience in livestock and horticulture products marketing M&E is an advantage
