The British Embassy in Ethiopia maintains and develops relations between the UK and Ethiopia.

We represent British interests in Ethiopia and the African Union. We help boost political, cultural, economic and social relations between them and the UK by offering a wide range of services and funding of various projects.

Position: Private Sector Development Advisor

Essential qualifications, skills and experience  

  • A degree or similar qualification in Economics, Finance, or Business.
  • At least 3 years of experience working on economic and/or private sector development issues in Ethiopia.

Desirable qualifications, skills and experience  

  • Experience working in an international organization.
  • Experience in managing economic development programs.

Language: English

Level of language required: Proficient

  • Employees who are not liable to pay local income tax on their Mission salary may have their salaries reduced by the equivalent local income tax amount.
