It was established on October 30, 2010 with a paid up capital of Birr 9.7 Million, under proclamation No. 86/1994 by the initiation of Berhan Bank S.C and through the investment of 455 visionary founders to provide non-life /general/ insurance solutions through its business channels located in Addis Ababa and economically vibrant regional towns.

As at 30 June, 2021 the number of shareholders reached over 1,600 and the paid up capital reached Birr 160.31 million. Its Head Quarter is situated in Addis Ababa, Bole Road Wello Sefer Round About on Garad City Center.
